Creating A Brilliant Brand In 2005, Zielinski Design was engaged by ION® Professional Products to assist in the design and development of a new hair color line. Working collaboratively, Tom Zielinski and senior brand manager Stacey Jones along with the ION® team settled on the name "Color Brilliance®". The scientifically based line included new technology such as wheat germ, micro pigments, conditioners, Ionic science and botanicals. The brand was designed around a series of radiating rings bursting out of the ION logo to emphasize the products ability to penetrate and provide brilliant shine and fade resistant color. The launch of the product was followed with a wide range of in-out product promotions, posters, banners, calendars, bags and sample product all designed around the new Color Brilliance brand. Launched in 2006 the line was projected to sell 600,000 units in the first year. By the end of the 1st quarter Color Brilliance had already depleted the first manufacturing run and by the end of the year had sold over 1.5 million units. Ongoing aggressive brand management by the customer coupled with ZDA's ability to provide professional brand stewardship has resulted in 7 straight years of double digit growth year over year. Today the ION Color Brilliance® line has been fully rounded out and is the 4th largest selling hair color line in the United States.
